Building a Bridge to a Connected Future
“If you know the enemy and know yourself,
you need not fear the result of a hundred battles.”
Sun Tzu, The Art of War
To defend from a hacker, you have to think like a hacker, and as ex-officers from the elite 8200 unit of the Israeli Defense Forces, we know a thing or two about what a motivated attacker can do. Back in those days the stakes were high and our work was rarely easy, but when it came to IoT devices, the mission always felt possible.
This is when we had an idea for a different approach; a deterministic security model that would be a perfect fit for deterministic devices. It would be an airtight and future-proof solution that would stop hackers, like us, from ever getting in.
Fast forward a few years—now working shoulder to shoulder with leading device manufacturers—we see our technology needed more than ever before, in a world reshaped by network agility and integrated AI.
The next generation of IoT is set to improve every aspect of our lives, from health and well-being to travel and communication, home life, and work. But first it has to win the battle for consumer trust. This is the role we intend for Sternum to play – to become a new standard for trusted device protection and help the IoT industry build the bridge to a more connected tomorrow.

Natali brings over 10 years of experience, both as a researcher and a team leader, in the field of cyber security and software development. After graduating magna cum laude B.Sc. in Computer Science at the age of 19, as part of a special program for gifted and talented kids, Natali was handpicked to serve in IDF’s 8200 elite technology unit (the Israeli equivalent of NSA) as a security software engineer.
Prior to founding Sternum, Natali held several cybersecurity related roles, including leading different R&D and research teams at two global cyber intelligence market leaders.
Having identified critical gaps in the IoT security market with life-saving consequences, Natali now leads all aspects of Sternum’s vision and mission execution both technologically and commercially.
Natali holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science from Bar Ilan University and when she is in between meetings she rejuvenates with creative writing and all sorts of sports.
Lian brings with him a wealth of experience delivering large, enterprise-scale and complex products as a software team leader.
Prior to founding Sternum, Lian worked as Android Researcher at a leading cyber security company, creating high quality generic exploits and discovering zero-day vulnerabilities in Android devices. Lian served in IDF’s 8200 elite technology unit (the Israeli equivalent of NSA), first as a software engineer and later, as a R&D Team Leader.
Before joining Sternum, Flair served as VP of R&D at Zebra Medical Vision and in her last position as a VP of Global Operations. In this capacity, she led the clinical, regulatory, customer success, Grants and People operations departments.
Flair brings twenty years in medical device and healthcare IT development, both in startups and large enterprises, and overall twenty-five years of software development and leadership.
Before that, Flair served as development, product, customer success and sales enablement leader of Interventional Lung Solutions at Medtronic (previously, superDimension) and drove continuous growth in product sales and revenue.
Flair holds a BSc in computer science and mathematics from the University of Haifa. She is a certified chef and patissier, is happily married, and a mother to three kids.
